Our body, mind and emotions are affected and it's important to remember and acknowledge that body and mind are intricately linked.
You might have noticed it yourself: the more challenging life gets, the more tense we become, holding all this tension in our muscles – as well as holding back emotions.
Emotional pain isn't just in our head, it is also in our muscles.
Shaking is good for us
Tremors are the body's natural ability to release chronic tension from the muscles
We are genetically encoded to tremor, but have been socialised out of this process – children and mammals in the wild (not in a zoo or lab) still use this mechanism and shake off stress easily
Tremors have a cumulative effect of deeply relaxing the body and this can restore physical suppleness and emotional stability – that means you can shake yourself (back) to a state of tranquillity
The tremoring body does the work – it does not need the mind, i.e. there's no need to talk or analyse
When tremoring, there is no need to know what is being released – don't think cognitively, just feel and connect with your body
Tremoring is mindful as it helps us to become present
Tremoring is self-care: tremoring regularly can prevent minor daily stresses turning into chronic tension
TRE is YOUR tool - once learned, there's no need to rely on anybody to 'fix' you

I am Sylvia, a certified TRE® Provider - having trained with Steve Haines (London), Su Thomas (South Africa) and
Anya Bloom (Israel).
When the pandemic hit I asked myself what the world really needs and re-discovered TRE® - I'm totally fascinated as it's so simple and yet so powerful and I value and treasure the relaxation I can build into my daily life.
I experience the amazing benefits of practising TRE® on a regular basis and I am on a mission to get the word out ... everybody should know about TRE® - especially in our current times.
My background is in IT and business development, and when I managed a health food shop, I was eventually able to bring my real passion into my career.
Since then I've trained as a Jikiden Reiki practitioner, and I have a foundation training in Counselling Skills (COSCA).
I am also a Laughter Yoga Leader.
To me, TRE® really feels like a spa treatment. What's more, as an enthusiastic tennis player, I have been struggling with hip and lower back pain, so every tennis session is now followed by a TRE® session, which releases so much tension around my hips, it is a tremendous relief.
