A wee gift to support yourself

You may be busy preparing for the festive period.

Still, may I briefly interrupt?

Because I have a wee gift for you.

A gift that helps you de-stress gently and with ease.

Whether you are super-organised or rushing around doing last-minute tasks.

Even when everything seems under control, when you’re performing well and managing beautifully, it doesn’t always mean your nervous system is well-regulated.

It reminds me of a swan gliding calmly across a lake, while paddling furiously beneath the surface.

Equally, taking a break or resting doesn’t always feel restful when your nervous system is still on high alert.

This wee gift is a gentle return to yourself. A way to feel calmer, more relaxed and quietly recharged. It’s a simple pause that allows your system to soften - in its own time and on its own terms.

You can use it to start your day more gently, rather than jumping out of bed and being instantly “on”. And it can help calm a busy mind at night, when thoughts keep racing long after everything else has stopped.

Think of it as a small, supportive ritual.

A quiet oasis amid the busyness.

Because your nervous system doesn’t need more advice.

It needs to experience safety.

In the here and now.

Would you like to give it a try?

You’re warmly invited to explore this practice from my Silent Counselling practice.

Silent Counselling is an energy modality – and I love the collarbone breathing technique:

Please let me know how you get on, I'd genuinely love to know.

And while it's not quite TRE (TRE goes much deeper), this simple, accessible technique can still be a beautiful way to support your nervous system and can bring a little more calm into your day - and night.

TRE or Silent Counselling, whatever resonates with you, I'm here to guide you further.

Wishing you the best for the Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, Dongzhi Festival … or simply a 'few well-deserved days off' season.
