Is TRE a pain killer?

Aches and pains can have various causes and no, TRE can't possibly cure them all, but

… as up to 90% of all health issues are caused by stress and tension that we are holding in the body – there's a good chance that TRE can help to lessen or eliminate pain.

This reminds me of my client, let's call her Ella, who wasn't well at all, quite often in pain and just recently diagnosed with CFS.

CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) can have many different symptoms like, e.g. persistent fatigue, feeling unwell, muscle or joint pain, sleep difficulties.

Before every session Ella mentioned that she's had a challenging day and probably not enough energy to do all the warm-up exercises.

I reassured Ella that her body knows best

and that she should take it easy, listen to her body and only do the exercises she feels comfortable doing and stopping when it feels appropriate – and that's what she did.

We had the session, she felt very relaxed afterwards and later fed-back that she was pain-free for the rest of the day and had an unusually good night's sleep, too.

While this experience isn't a promise at all,

I want to share that it can be possible to get great results when practising TRE and I want to encourage you to look into it.

What does TRE do?

When practising TRE we release physical tension held in the body. When tension is the cause of the pain, it can most certainly lessen or eliminate that pain.

The muscle tremors are an innate reaction and a self-regulating response of the body's neurophysiology.

We also down-regulate the nervous system, i.e. the sympathetic nervous system, and up-regulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the one that is associated with the body's "rest-and-digest" response as it promotes relaxation, digestion, and recovery.

So we are encouraging the nervous system to move towards more balance – that's one reason why many people report a great night's sleep.

As I always say, TRE isn't a cure-all-and-everything, but where tension is the culprit, it's most certainly possible to find relief.

The proof is in the pudding! You might then join me and many others in wondering: “Why on earth isn't everybody shaking it off?” When are you going to start your TRE journey?
