Seven reasons ...

I was working with a client recently who was so impressed with both TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) and their own body. Their question:


"Why don't more people know about such natural things like

breathing or shaking?

I think everybody should know about TRE." Yes, yes, yes!

I totally agree.

Well, why don't more people know about it?

Here are my thoughts ... Some people might ...

  • be aware, but not motivated to actually check it out

  • prefer to pop a pill to mask the pain

  • want to out-source the responsibility to somebody else, e.g. a counsellor or a physio

  • buy one health gadget after another, hoping to find a solution

  • trust their cognitive and clever minds more than their (even cleverer!!!) bodies

  • think it's all a lot of b***sh** (I so want to prove them wrong!!!)

  • believe it's far too woo-woo (actually, it's not as TRE is very innate!)

Do any of these arguments resonate with you?

I – hand on heart – honestly don't want to talk anybody into learning and practising TRE, that wouldn't make sense at all.

Everybody needs to decide what's good for them and they

also know when the time is right.
