The power of a wee shake

Sometimes people tell me:

“I don’t need TRE, I shake when I dance wildly in the kitchen!”

And I smile … because yes, movement heals (almost) all wounds.

Dancing, boxing, running, rowing, tennis (in my case) … help us to feel better.

Absolutely.

But if you'd like to move it up a notch, let's explore what's happening when practising TRE.

TRE works differently.

In TRE, the tremors aren’t something you do consciously. They are involuntary. Also called neurogenic tremors.

It’s your body showing you how it naturally unwinds and restores balance.

I've had quite a few clients who say they can’t possibly let go of control.

And that’s okay.

Because it's my job to create a safe space where you feel grounded and confident enough to give your body room to do what it wants to do.

Slowly, gently and safely.

And when clients experience TRE for the first time?

✨ Some laugh as their diaphragm releases

✨ Sometimes (alpha men) shed quiet tears (beautiful, I'd say)

✨ Others can’t stop yawning, a sign of relaxation

It’s always moving to witness how different each person’s body finds its way back to ease.

If you are intrigued ... here are two short video clips where you can discover a little bit more about the power of a wee shake.

This might surprise you.

I'm curious to hear what you think.

Maybe you'll realise how amazing, connected and clever your body is?

And if this resonates with you or sparks any – or many – questions, you are very welcome to reach out.

And how I can empower you to take your health and well-being into your own hands, well, body.

Because I teach, rather than treat.

Natural. Innate. TREmendous.

PS: As I mentioned exercise, I also want to draw your attention to the fact that TRE is a great sports (injury) recovery tool - I notice such a relief in my lower back after a tennis session.
